Introduction to YouTube and its platform
YouTube is a worldwide-recognized platform where people share their ideas and videos, which can be viewed from any part of the world. Good examples of these videos capture different themes such as sports, traveling, food, artwork, and music. The larger share of their customers is people of all ages starting from children to teens and adults. The data set allocated for this project is the information that entails different YouTube channels with their description and the main theme in the picture. The purpose of this analysis is to get insight into different channels that major on different topics and present them to people in an orderly way without fear. The data are divided systematically into the link, the title of the video, the description of the video, and the category. Under the category, there are different forms, which include travel, food, artworks and music, and history. Different issues emerge which gives the insight on deriving the three big questions as follows.
The YouTube data is text or categorical in nature and it contains human behavior which is suitable to find reasonable insights and valuable information that can be used to help the content creators in YouTube to increase their fan base, subscriptions and viewers.
The dataset was mined from YouTube and it contains information about trending YouTube videos from August 2020 to December 2021 for the USA, Canada, and Great Britain based on dislikes, likes, comments and subscriptions. The dataset has 12 columns originally but the one used in the analysis has 7 columns.

The datasets used in this analysis were contained in two different files with one file having information about the title of the channel, description, and category while the other file contained information about the title of the video, video URL, category, and Description.
After merging the two datasets in the tableau by using create an inner join using the title as the value that matches both tables. I then created an alias for Null values, values that had no clear meaning such as ? ". as Unknown for every variable.
Null values could still occur during the manipulation of data as I generated various graphics, this was solved by excluding the null values.

- Advertise on other social media platforms and share the link.
How can the channels deal with competition from other channels that offer similar videos with similar content and themes?
- Develop a strategic digital marketing technique that will make the channel, as well as the content, unique.
- Partner with great companies that viewers might be aware of that make them unique and famous.
- Using an awesome and unique channel icon.
How can channels cut down dislikes, and subscriptions, and increase views, and subscriptions?
- Use common language that is understood by a large audience to avoid the language barrier.
The use of common language that is simple enables clear delivery of information in its intended nature while the use of complicated language distorts information hence hindering clear delivery to the intended audience.
Any YouTube channel aims to attract viewers and to make sure that they are entertained or satisfied with what they are watching.
Based on the graph above, it is evident that channels with unclear titles or names that cannot be deciphered by viewers attract a large number of dislikes while channels with clear and understandable names attract very few dislikes.

This technique is highly beneficial when the advertisement is done on the right platforms while it becomes also a nuisance when the advertisements act as internet spam on the users, this comes about when users advertisements that are not relevant to them at a specific time, e.g., getting a pop up about the history of US presidents in a data science page.
From the graph above, the channels that were advertised on the wrong platform such as a channel with an unreadable title, advertised on Year Old Food Market! British Food Tour Of Borough Market in London got very many dislikes while that was advertised on the right channel got very few dislikes.
Do they respond to all questions asked by their viewers?
Responding to questions asked by viewers engages the viewers in the channel, it allows you tuber to know much about what type of videos, and content their viewers would want in the future.
From the graph, channels with unknown names and which don't have comment sections have very many dislikes as compared to channels with comment sections disabled. This means that allowing the viewers to comment attracts more subscribers and fewer dislikes.

Feedback mechanism enables the Youtubers to understand their viewers and subscribers in terms of the video quality they prefer, video length, the topics they would want to be discussed or covered in the video, and lastly their opinion about a subject such as political ideology, gender orientation, etc.
From the graph, it is evident that various categories have a different number of comments but with the highest number of comments are ones with tags, tags engage viewers to discuss a certain topic when it is hotly debated in the public space. Those channels without tags have minimal comment counts.
Provide translations for videos made in languages other than English for proficiency and understanding by a large group of people.
At times good music or movies might be originally made in a language that some global citizens might not understand, for example, the famous movie series Money Heist was originally produced in Espanola, which some global citizens could not understand. Translating this movie to either English or French or Chinese would give these viewers an upper hand in catching up with other global citizens in enjoying watching the movie. This would in turn give the YouTubers an added advantage in terms of efficiency and attract more subscribers.
From the graph below, Song by Selena Gomez, which was originally in English and translated to Espanola, got the likes while those that were only in one Language got the least likes.

Most people in this error have some knowledge about information technology hence would need some little technical assistance whenever they have a problem with their devices such as automated refrigerators, smart phones, etc. It can therefore be advisable to create a channel that uniquely touches on topics that are not generally discussed by other YouTubers such as repairing a broken door refrigerator etc.
The graph shows, that the most liked video was one comparing Compound Turbo Diesel F100 with Blocks 1 while the least liked video was on food which did not have a simple clear language as a title hence hindered the viewers from accessing it.
Partner with great companies that viewers might be aware of that make them unique and famous.
Some companies have channels on YouTube, which most YouTube users are familiar with. These can be music streaming services or banks or international organizations such as UNICEF.
The graph shows that most music videos that were published at VEVO, lyrical lemonade, Groupon Music and Maria BECERRA Music were the most famous, this is because these companies are well known by music lovers while the least liked were from companies such as BAD HOP, Bionic, etc which are not well known.
Using an awesome and unique channel icon.
An awesome and unique channel icon is appealing to many viewers hence getting attracted to the channel. This channel icon should also be accompanied by easy-to-understand channel titles, which are in common global languages, that the intended audience is well familiar with.
From the graphic, channels with attractive icons and titles in global languages have a high number of comments; this means that they attract very many viewers. In collusion, this means using an awesome and unique channel icon helps the channels deal with competition from other channels that offer similar videos with similar content and themes.
