Background
You have decided to develop and market a new innovative solution for the NZ construction industry and you need to convince a panel of experts in construction to fund your idea.
The brief
Prepare a report that describes and promotes your innovative construction solution to convince the panel members that it worth investing in your idea.
This solution must adopt a new digital or non-digital technology that can support the construction industry to build or maintain the quality of the built environment over time.
Your innovative idea can be related to Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Generative Design, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, or other emerging technologies.
Your report must include the following:
1. Introduction:
This section must include a background to the innovative solution you are proposing including its importance and uniqueness of the idea.
2. The Proposal:
This section must explain in detail what the innovative solution is and how it could be implemented to solve the identified construction problems.
3. SWOT Analysis:
In this section you must prepare a fully considered SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses Opportunities, Threats) analysis for your innovative solution.
4. Case Studies:
Present at least one case study demonstrating the application of the innovative solution including the benefits and limitations of the solution.
5. Summary and Conclusion

Marking criteria:
Introduction (10%)
This item will assess your ability to recognise a relevant construction problem in the NZ construction industry and identify ideas for potential solutions.
The Proposal (20%)
This item will assess your ability to identify a new digital or non-digital technology.
SWOT Analysis (30%)
This item will assess your ability to critically analyse the proposed innovative solution focusing on the Strengths, Weaknesses Opportunities, and Threats.
Case Studies (30%)
This item will assess your ability to appraise the implementation of the proposed innovative solution as well as to identify the benefits and limitations of the idea.
Summary and Conclusion (10%)
This item will assess your ability to briefly summarize your whole idea and draw a conclusion to convince the panel of your innovative solution.
