It is being claimed by the researchers in this article that stakeholder management in complex projects has received extensive attention from the both industry as well as the academia due to the fact of increase in the number of the complex projects being undertaken in the market. Due to this issue, there is significant issue experienced by the contemporary practitioners in the management of the stakeholders in the complex project, the researchers have invested extensive effort into the improvement of the stakeholder theory as well as the management practice within this particular area.
According to the researchers of this article, there are various tools as well as approaches that are applied for the analysis of stakeholders in context of the complex projects and each of which has their respective limitations and the advantages. Integrating the conventional SA plus the SNA must be properly considered for gaining the complete picture of the stakeholders in context of the complex projects (Nguyen, Mohamed & Panuwatwanich, 2018). I believe that the researchers are accurately presenting the viewpoint because the tools and approaches available in the market in the present times for conducting the stakeholder analysis have their respective limitations and advantages that should be properly analysed before the tools are used in the organisation for determining the stakeholders.
In spite of the requirement of understanding how the stakeholders could influence the complex projects as well as determine the increasingly popular stakeholder analysis strategies, the studies on the SI in context of the CPs are extensively lacking. This point presented by the researchers is also accurate because the studies related to the analysis of stakeholders for complex projects is not available in the present times.
I agree with the point presented in this article by the researchers that some research trends for the management of stakeholders in the complex projects must initially be properly examined. Initially, the SE is considered to be the trend in the management of the stakeholders in complex project, and therefore, the investigation into most common approach for the engagement of the stakeholders as well as the SE practices strategies must be initially considered (Nguyen, Mohamed & Panuwatwanich, 2018). Along with this, the interrelationships among the level of the SE as well as SE approach plus the practice strategies are extensively crucial.
As the researchers claim that stakeholder management plays the crucial role in the project performance in the complex projects as the key success factor. I agree with this claim presented by the researchers because it has been observed that considering all the stakeholders in any project helps in ensuring the success of the project because the project would be able to deliver the required products to the customers that are needed (Nguyen, Mohamed & Panuwatwanich, 2018). The researchers also claim that complexity is the primary source of the risk as well as uncertainty int eh projects and therefore it affects the project performance.
