Support Sheet for designers who give a prototype to users
- Let your user experience the prototype. Show don’t tell. Put your prototype in the user’s hands and give just the minimum context so they understand what to do. Don’t explain your thinking or reasoning for your prototype.
- Have them talk through their experience. For example, when appropriate, as the host, ask “Tell me what you are thinking as you are doing this.”
- Actively observe. Watch how they use (and misuse!) what you have given them. Don’t immediately “correct” what your user is doing.
- Follow up with questions. This is important; often this is the most valuable part of testing. “Show me why this would [not] work for you.” “Can you tell me more about how this made you feel?” “Why?” Answer questions with questions (i.e “well, what do you think that button does?”)

Exploring the concept and its relation to building innovation capabilities.
What can design thinking offer writing studies?
What is design thinking and why is it important?
Physical models and design thinking: A study of functionality, novelty and variety of ideas.
Knowledge Gained
The concept of design thinking is mainly used by all the designers majorly for solving complicated and complex problem and thus taking into consideration about the solution which is focused on the clients. The process which can be termed particular mainly based on the concept of imagination, systematic reasoning and initiation mainly for taking possibilities related to the outcome and creating the result which is desired from the possible outcome of the matter. I have learnt that the designing thinking can be included in complex matters and solved easily with the proper approach which is made. In the whole interaction process, I have come across many field of access across different topic which is related to the concept of design thinking.
In the following report I have mainly outlined my ten weeks’ schedule that I have come across. each of the blog mainly discusses what I have learnt and how would I implement them in the feature to gain high result from them.
Knowledge Gained
The basic knowledge was mainly gained in the first week of the workshop the main learning outcome was on the concept of the Design of the IT. My unit coordinator was Dr Stephanie Macht who is also a SYD and distance student tutor. The main objective of the leaning was introduction which was focused on the concepts of the entrepreneurship, innovation, design thinking and diffusion. The main concept which was focused on the importance of entrepreneurial and the thinking which is innovative for existing and new ventures which are related to the business concept. Taking into account the conceptual difference between the technological aspects of innovation and invention are related in the discussion.
Putting emphasis on the learning outcome on the second week is to take into consideration the basic concept of the term of design process. the term design process can be referred to as a design process that provides a solution based approach towards a problem’s solving capability. The concept was judged to be very much beneficial in order to tackle the problem which can be complex that are mainly not defined properly or is unknown. This is mainly due to the factor that it is based on the concept of the human needs involved. The process of deign can be categorized in many steps for example empathizes, ideate, define (the problem), prototype, test etc.
Analysis and Evaluation
The knowledge which was focused on me during the tenure of the activity was that concept of design thinking and its peripherals. The main question which was discussed was what is the concept behind the design thinking concept. The different theory of design thinking for example philosophical worldview, co creation etc. were mainly discussed. The logic behind the reasoning without design which include problem situation, desired and overall result is mainly taken into account. I have learned that the thinking which is related to the divergence thinking has mainly four states namely develop alternatives to the current reality, convergence thinking, analysis and synthesis. The main knowledge on the other hand is the concept of reflective thinking and how it can be incorporated in the daily life in order to focus on a better prospective of the life and the better view point of the life. This can be stated that the reflective thinking can be incorporated in w wide scale of life which can be very much justified and by implementing the concept the role of the reflective thinking can be made real into a daily life structure. This mainly include three parts which may include thinking back to the events and the activity, analysis of the activities and the events and thinking about what this activity and the events means for me and how my learning can be implemented in the process. In the twelve week the main learning outcome is the aesthetic in the concept of the design. The term aesthetics plays a very vital role in many aspects which are be related to the real life scenario, the main point of emphasis which can be put into the scenario are office furnishing, career development, impressing the managers and the clients and childcare. The concept of design thinking to Re- design putting emphasis on an industry was taken into consideration. At the end of the interaction a conclusion was taken into account which mainly stated that the design thinking process is a very useful alternative approach mainly with the idea of creative, innovative and entrepreneurial thinking.
Analysis and Evaluation
The area of development was mainly obtained in this week was to understand the basic difference between the problem finding and problem solving. The factor of critically thinking the process of design thinking which is related to the problem finding is the main factor which is conducted in the discussion. The different design thinking tools are taking into consideration that are is visualisation, brainstorming and spotting the obvious. The main point of emphasis which is taken into consideration is the problem finding capability with it the problem finding aspect. In most of the cases it can be related that the problem finding can be related to the something different than the consideration which is made and the consideration which is made.
Development may come in any sphere of life bringing into account the concept of design process taking into consideration the concept of journey mapping. The concept of the journey mapping mainly refers to the graphical representation of the customer experience as they mainly interact with the point of view of the product and the services providers. The main aim of the concept is to establish current experience, the visualization of the possible /ideal experiences and the visualization of the prototypes of the new idea. The term value chain is also taken into consideration, enables the analysis of the organization in terms of the sets of the activity.
In the sixth week the main learning objective that I have learnt are the different research approaches with it their data sources and data types. On the other hand, the ability to conduct the ethical design research and the ethical co – creation is also taken into consideration. The main aim of the interact was become aware of the concept of the data analysis. The source of data is primarily can be obtained from two sources questionnaire survey and interview based survey or an interview structured. The pros and cons of the primary data and the secondary data is also taken up into consideration in the interact session.
The main learning which is obtained from the week’s interaction is how to create the objects using the instances of the prototype and create new objects related to the matter and directly copying this prototype. On the other the co- pot concept which is made emphasis on one instance of the class for us as a breeder of the instances when they are taken into full consideration. The problem which is faced in this case is the hard wires which mainly involve the class of the objects in order to create in each of the new expression which is being imparted to us. In the eight week the main learning was the launch of the learning and the outcome of the real launch. Taking into the account the launch readiness plan. The objective in tis interaction session was to plan, review and execute in accordance to the launching innovation. The understanding of the launch readiness plan putting emphasis on the purpose of the planning and the content of the readiness plan with regards to the launch. Planning the learning launch is a point of emphasis which was considered in the week, the main question which was arise was what is the product or the service related to it trying to approach and the financial requirement. reflective thinking works.
Area of Development
The weakness can be term mainly relating to the concept of marketing, to be able to conceptualize the use of personas in the process of designing thinking, to be able to carry out the analysis which is related to the competitors. The term target manger or personas is the main term which is taken into consideration in this interaction. The market can be segmented into different categories for example geographic, demographic and psychographic. The customer tends to focus on the understand the main concept of data. The term competitors are also lending the focus point in the interaction bringing into accounting the actual definition related to the concept.
The action plan can be related to a document which mainly in lists the phases which are mainly implemented in order to gain distinct goals or objectives which can be overall be termed as action goal. The major objective which can be related to the action plan can be described by taking into account the different activities that are incorporated in the field of learning which is gained from the concept of learning which was imparted to us during the schedule. The document directly lists all the phases of the induction learning which was given to us during the tenure. The main objective of the of the schedule was development may come in any sphere of life bringing into account the concept of design process taking into consideration the concept of journey mapping.
Conclusion
The report can be concluded on a note that the learning objective was to introduce the capital source for the innovations related to the entrepreneurial, taking into the understanding of the concept of approaches to fundraising from the angel of the business, crowdfunding and the providers which are considered to be giant. The term of bootstrapping is taken into account which mainly deals with the aspect that if it saves the money it’s as good as cash. The source in such is case is mainly from anywhere within the structure of the business, requires creativity and innovation in order to perform the identification related to bootstrapping possibility. On week 11 the main point of emphasis was the action plan. The main point which was taken into consideration is the identification of the key activities and the events that we should undertake in order to address the development which is required. Other point which is taken into consideration is the how the reflective thinking works.
