These three (or four if required) sets of documents should be scanned (and saved in PDF format) into three groups and labelled accordingly. Three (or four if required) files will be opened and graded. Please do not submit multiple single pages. Multiple single pages will not be graded. Each page submitted must include the student name and date. Clinical competency documents (1, 2) must include preceptor name and signature and contact details. Each page must be legible and readable. Poor quality scanning will not be accepted.

Assignments will be graded pass/fail and a short comment will be written in the LEO dropbox within 3 weeks of submission.
Assessment criteria: Extended clinical nursing specialty competence at advanced beginner level or above; reflection on practice improvement.
Sharing ideas with other students on the will encourage further understanding of EBP in the specialty setting health care environment. The group work component will help you to develop networks of similar students in your specialty. Groups should discuss and agree on a suitable EBP issue within their specialty. The EBP issue should be contemporary and one that might lead to practice improvement.
Each student in the group must upload a copy of the group ePoster to Turnitin in LEO NRSG635. Each student will be allocated another student ePoster to peer mark.
Mark and feedback (written, rubric and/or voice comments) will be available in the Turnitin drop box in LEO within 3 weeks of submission.
Self-evaluate ethically accountable practice with respect to persons +/- their families/significant others within your specialty. Read the core modules and undertake additional reading about ethical practice issues within your specialty. This self-evaluation requires you to examine your development and progress in relation to ethically accountable practice. You are required to examine an ethical issue in great detail in order to understand it better or discover more about it.
Using Park’s (2011) ethical decision-making model, evaluate an ethical issue within your specialty.
- the identification of an ethical issue;
- the collection of additional information to identify the problem and develop solutions;
- the development of alternatives for analysis and comparison;
- the selection of the best alternatives and justification;
- the development of diverse, practical ways to implement ethical decisions and actions; and
- the evaluation of effects and development of strategies to prevent a similar occurrence.
This is a self-evaluation therefore you are required to write this essay in the first person. This is an academic, informed evaluation, therefore must be supported by valid and varied high quality evidence-based literature. You should include reference to ethical principles and the code of ethics in your evaluation. Confidentiality must be considered and maintained at all times.

Assessment criteria

Students to improve their academic writing by identifying possible areas of poor citation and referencing in their written work; and Teaching staff to identify areas of possible plagiarism in students’ written work. For any assignment that has been created to allow submission through Turnitin (check the Assignment submission details for each assessment task), you should submit your draft well in advance of the due date (ideally, several days before) to ensure that you have time to work on any issues identified by Turnitin. On the assignment due date, lecturers will have access to your final submission and the Turnitin Originality Report.
Please note that electronic marking, Grademark, is used in this unit using Turnitin. Turnitin will be used as a means of submitting, marking and returning assessment tasks and so a text matching percentage will appear on your submission automatically.
