Introduction and Discussion on Pending Matters
(This scene takes place in the company's boardroom. There are several employees in this office. The theme of the discussion is the factors that have caused behavior change in the workplace environment. Bruce is the chairman of the meeting, while Elton, Esther and Richard are his coworkers.)
Bruce: Good morning, my coworkers?
Everyone: Good morning too.
Bruce: I know you are wondering why I called you here today. Well, worry no more. I have called you here today to discuss pending matters affecting us, causing a change in behavioral conduct between our coworkers. Without further ado, the topic of discussion is on, and anyone can air out their views without discrimination and fear of being judged or overlooked.
Elton: Thank you for arranging this meeting. I have had several grievances that I have wanted to bring out. As seen earlier this month, there has been a paradigm shift in the amount of time we have to work. This change has been causing strain in our personal lives, affecting us psychologically at a personal level. As seen. The manager had not discussed with us the changes prior, and some of us have to cope with re-adjusting to the changing work environment. Due to this, some of us do not have enough time to spend with our loved ones because it seems we are married to the job now.
Bruce: Thank you, Elton. It is such a horner working with you, for you are not one to shy over an open discussion. As you have indicated earlier, the shift in change of workplace hours is challenging for you to cope with. Do not worry; we are in this boardroom to air out your grievances and see the right way to elevate your predicament. Any discussion and meeting aim to provide an amicable situation and ensure a win-win situation. The best way to go about your grievances is by sitting down in another meeting with the manager present and discussing the terms of the new work schedule and trying and come up with a schedule that benefits both the workers and management so that everyone can go home happy.
Elton: That will be great, sir, because I have been glooming over this ever since the working schedule was changed, making coming to work more of a burden
Bruce: As I have said, you need not worry, for this is a problem-solving activity. Your plight will be communicated to the management and see whether the schedule can be reshuffled to tailor to the needs of fellow co-works. Is anyone else with something to add?
Esther: I have been having this burning issue that I need to get out of my chest.
Bruce: Go on, Esther.
Esther: Ever since they introduced new computer systems with artificial intelligence to Queens Enterprise, I have not been myself lately.
Bruce: And why is it so?
Esther: I have not been myself because I have been living in perpetual fee of being replaced by a more competent employee.
Grievances and Views on Shifting Work Schedules
Bruce: Why would you think the management wants to replace you?
Esther: I have cause to believe I am not adequate to continue playing my role because artificial intelligence does all the work as opposed to earlier when the company had depended on me solely for computation and logistics.
Bruce: On the contrary, Esther, that is something not to worry about. The Artificial intelligence computer system was meant to help you make work easier for you. The management saw cause to introduce the system to speed up production in your area of expertise. This will help you make work easier and relieve your burden of having to do all the heavy lifting. If you feel under-utilized and under-qualified, that is okay but know the management is here to help you with that problem. I suggest the best solution to your problem is that the management should introduce retraining in your department to get you up to speed to remove any doubts about your adequacy.
Esther. That will be great, Bruce. Now I can work under the least pressure, for my worry is now elevated. Be sure to present this issue to the movement if you will.
Bruce: Don't worry, I got your back. This will be the top priority grievance for condescending morale on the worker's recent attitude. I will be sure to do this. Is anyone else with an issue to air out?
Richard: Recently, we have been experiencing the issue of Covid 19 measures that have been put in place. Most of us are having challenges wearing masks and maintaining the social distancing protocol. Is there a way this issue can be addressed?
Bruce: Of cause Richard. As I see it, this issue has been affecting me, too. For most of the time, I have been finding wearing masks pretty uncomfortable on my side. I only see one way out of this situation. I suppose we could communicate with the management to test all its workers for the disease with the concept of the cause so that we could put off the issue of social distancing for some of us rely on our teammates to make some important decisions. If this would be possible to do mass testing in Queens Enterprise and everyone tests their status would be helpful for we would not have to wear those uncomfortable face masks and maintain social distancing at the workplace for everyone would be safe to interact with for they are medically clear. Was this suggestion helpful?
Richard: Yes, sir, that was quite helpful.
Bruce: if that is all the grievances, be sure I will air them out to the manager and that your issues will be resolved. The meeting is now adjourned, and you can all proceed to your respective duties of the day.
