The primary research that would be most suitable for this topic is by evaluating housing market in different areas. By

looking at the prices and comparing it to the average household income.

Describe the relevance this topic has to the construction industry:

Affordability is playing a really important role in both quality and quantity of construction. Housing built with higher quality would be more expensive and less affordable.

Describe the primary research that would be appropriate and feasible for this topic:

The best way to research this topic would be by reviewing the communication levels in previous jobs. Based onexperience working with different methods of communications, it would be easier to know what was more effective and how it helped the success of the project.

Describe the relevance this topic has to the construction industry:

Most successful constructions have been done with a strong communication. Experience has shown that when everyone is clearer on their scope of work.

Reviewing the injuries due to falling and studying the causes of injury is the best way to research this topic.

Preventing or reducing the most common injury in construction is a big and important step. With all the technologies available for safety of workers, we should chose the right tool for the right job.

I would like to find out the actual cost affordable housing and how close it is to the income of population that it was built for.

Research Objectives (What specific steps will be needed to find this out?)

• If affordable housing is a reality?
• How to cut cost of construction so most people can afford a home.
• How closing the gap between income and real estate cost could improve the economy.

Research Methodology (Describe the research strategies that will best achieve your research objectives: surveys, experiments, interviews, computer modeling, etc.) Be as specific as you can about contacts you might have, data you might have access to, or scientific equipment and computer programs you might be familiar with.

My strategy to conduct this research is to evaluate the housing market and average household income in Toronto. Byaccessing the MLS and governments provided information on average household income. Conduction of small survey would be the next step for my research.
