The objectives of the project are:
- To develop the replicated panels for A-123 flight as requested by Sim Corporation.
- To complete the panels and the documentations associated with it within a period of 10 weeks from the day the project starts (the project is expected to start from January 12, 2009).
- To complete the entire project within a budget of £ 19,400 and in accordance to the quality requirements mentioned in the tender documents.
- To demonstrate the use of appropriate project management procedures within the organization
The information provided in the case study indicates that the project deliverable includes the following:
- Feasibility study documentation
- 3 D studies documentation
- Developing product description
- Assembly drawings
- Product manuals
- System Test procedure
- Project specification
- Tested and validated flight panels

The following technical elements are required for the successful implementation of the project:
- The CA aerospace protocol has to be utilized in designing the communication between the panels
- The utilization of COTS for ensuring post service support in future is mandated.
- The critical design review (CDR) and the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) methods have to be utilized.
The limits exclusions of the project are being outlined in the section below:
- The raw materials to be utilized in developing the panel would be procured from external sources: LFC Engineering would be responsible for the task of assembling these raw materials and parts.
- The electrical board would be designed by LFC engineering: however, the production of the same would essentially be outsourced to some external vendor.
- As per the negotiations made after the tender process, LFC Engineering would be responsible for designing and developing only 5panels for flight A-123.
